The Information Regulator publishes a guide on how to use PAIA and POPIA (section 10 of PAIA). It's available in all official languages from the Information Regulator (South Africa) at inforegulator.org.za or [email protected].

The game, the privacy policy, the terms of use and this manual are freely available on the website, with no request needed.

Including the Income Tax Act 58 of 1962, the Tax Administration Act 28 of 2011, the Value-Added Tax Act 89 of 1991 (if registered), the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act 25 of 2002 and POPIA.

7. How to request a record

  1. Complete the prescribed request form (Form 2), available from the Information Regulator's website, and email it to [email protected].
  2. Give enough detail to identify the record, and say which right you're exercising or protecting.
  3. We'll respond within 30 days. Prescribed fees under the PAIA regulations may apply, and we'll tell you before charging any. You may request your own personal information free of charge.

We may refuse a request on the grounds set out in Chapter 4 of Part 3 of PAIA. If you disagree with our decision, you may complain to the Information Regulator ([email protected]) or apply to court.
